The Ocean Addicts Power Of The Paddle Race is on again on the 17th of November 2012. Last year was a great success and we are aiming at making it bigger this year.

Some Changes:

The Race Format: This year will be different. As a committee we are working out the exact format to ensure all paddlers will have the chance at more than one race. Trust us you are going to love it. More details on this soon.

The After Party: This year the race will be on the Saturday morning which means all can go to the Golden Days Festival / Concert after the race and into the night for a large social occasion. Heavily discounted festival tickets will be available for competitors and their friends. Last years band line up was fantastic and this year it is shaping up to be better again.

Surf Comp: There will be a SUP Surf Comp held at the festival on the Sunday Morning. Coolum can be a great location for a surf comp. There may be some sore heads from the night before but this may level out the comp

Get in early for accommodation as with the Festival it could book out in Coolum.

After the success of last years race we have had a lot of interest in this years up and coming race. We have some big name sponsors getting behind this event and hopefully some high profile international paddlers coming to race and also to tour around Australia afterwards.

As soon as we get solid confirmation as to which international paddlers will be attending, I will let you know.

This race is a fantastic opportunity to show case Coolum/Australia and all that it has to offer.

We are determined to make this race even bigger and better than last years.

The new race format and the surf comp after wards is going to ensure that everyone gets some solid time on the water. It will also show case the two sides of the the Sport and will appeal to more than just racers.
