Kite surfers will know that most kite bars have this nice soft grip on them..Same as windsurfer booms.

Now there's a nicely shaped SUP paddle T grip made with the same type of material.

Today I got my new soft T grip in the mail..Thanks again Bob (from Mission Surf).

It didn't take me long to fit it to my Naish adjustable paddle that I made..I was a perfect fit.

It feels real good in the hand..I'll test it out tomorrow.

Here's a few pictures.

Looks comfy.

Don't see it on his website though.

Is the shipping reasonable?

I tested it out today and it was fantastic...

So cool and comfee..Even dipping it in the water it was still very grippy..It would be great for the surf..or if you fall in a lot..

The wider T style grip feels like you have more control over the blade than the normal ergo palm type.

I'm still not sure where they come from..Some of the Hawaii made SUP Paddles are using them now I think..Maybe QB (Quick Blade) and KP (Kialola Paddles).

Bob who owns Mission Surf shop in California sent me mine.. www.missionsurf.com/

He sells them for about $10 each (US)...BTW they come in other camo colors also..SHQ here in Melbourne is looking at getting some in so I'll let you know.

I think all SUP paddles will have this type of T handle one day..and maybe a similar type grip on the shaft for the lower hand..I makes a lot of sense.

Here's is a couple of pics from today...btw..Warick at RPS today said maybe I should now change my avitar to the new ca'mo..(get it?)..

Hey just wondering on the QB paddle site it says 'Paddles should be 9 inches taller than your height'
I havent measured mine but does that roughly work out to be the same as turning the paddle upside down and the shaft should end at eye level?

Correct paddle length also depends on a couple of things..Board thickness..Blade length..and how deep you like to paddle..etc..even body shape..

I think it's a good general rule to have the point where the blade comes out from the shaft at about eye level with the handle resting on the ground.

Measure yours and let us know what it is....Your paddle that is..
