at the alley. just a word to newish sup users at the alley.
please don't enter the middle of the lineup unless____________
you can read the crowd and have surf knowledge. part of this means being able to plot out a course that avoids situations as much as possible
can take off on a wave and have control of your craft. this applies to long time surfers who are learning sup in particular. you can see they have surfed but haven't taken the time to 'learn sup'. spent months first up staying away from others- you can experiment till your hearts content on what works, what doesn't
your prepared to turn your head left and see if some one is inside
you can turn off a wave
you can paddle on to a wave standing up,not on your knees calling waves!!!!!!!! this i can't even believe someone could have the gall to even do it
i am appalled at what i am seeing. i can only imagine what other surfers are thinking.
i don't usually get into these type of posts and don't want to make a issue out of it and then have the trolls zero in and i'm not trying to be a big shot , but i would like to see sups co exist with others at the alley now and in the future.
ps i can't bring myself to have a 'chat' out in the line up about these matters
