I think it is Sunday not Saturday and with the Swell at 5-6ft I know a few in the local crew that were going will be hitting the reefs instead.

I though you Jonathon DWDave etc would have been there with bells on as sounded like a great event for you.

I was going to come down for a look myself, before heading down the coast.

I wanted to see how you guys woud go paddling to shortlands and then back up as I worked on the water in that area and the tide runs at up to 11knts and then of course there is the wind to contend with.

Its a shame, I would have thought you guys are at the top of the SUP list in Vicco for the down winder game.

I think Allrounder is still going?

Hairy not the word guys. Just been down to the front beach and the wind is strong enough to blow your eyelids inside out! On top of that, it's blowing from the South East which is the worst possible direction. Cant see any down wind legs, it will be blowing crossbeam both ways. Tell the truth I dont see how you could even stand on some of those long tippy beasts in this muck. TALLY HO!

Just watched the heat/final of the SUP event at Lonny Front beach. Only three starters and Lummers smashed it! Horrendous conditions but they changed the course so it was a series of straight runs into the wind and then round the rescue boat and down wind to the beach. Too windy even to keep the cans in place! Lummers was the only one of the three to finish and he was paddling a sixteen foot Laguna Bay model. Props all round to the contestants, wouldnt catch me out there for serious money let alone the joy of competition.
