Has any one seen one of these in the flesh or riden one, I am tempted to get one as on paper at 32' wide and 170lts it seems about right for my pot belly 120 kgs.
I had a look at the 9'11" ripper in the shop yesterday and they look very nice.

I currently have a 10' icon (29.5" wide and ~148lts) but I am struggling on it in the swell, I am ok on flat water but fall off too much out in the open ocean. I should have waited to get the 10'6" rocket...ah well smetimes you have to learn the hard way.

Other options are to step back and buy a larger 2nd hand 11' to 12' board and get basics sorted but the 10'11" ripper has almost as much volume as the 11'22 sb...

too many boards too many choices.

cheers

Sometimes you have just got to slum it and I cant help myself in the last week I have riden my 9'6" mal, my SUP ( well if you call falling off heaps riding) and today the 6'6" fish.... I almost broke out the inflatable surf mat and flippers last week for a shallow sucky reefie as well, but dont tell anyone...

mmm I am sure more time on the water on the Sup would help...

Do not go back longer, width is the key go wider Starboard and PSH both have some wide boards 31"+ this is much more stable than 11"6 by 29".With your weight you will still get the rail in and the shorter board will turn quicker.

Thanks surfrod, thats why i am thinking of the 10'6" xx ripper as its 32" wide vs 29.5 I currently have. Plus I am finding that I sinking the tail on the icon so wanted a bit more volume, but if the 10'6" psh is only 10 more lts I might have to go to something else. I will go and demo a whopper and UB.

Cheers

Mate the 10'11 ripper should be plenty enough board for you, at 32inch wide it has very good stablity and would be quite different to the 29 inch board you are ridding now.

this is MO but please rember i am only 75kg
