How important is the paddle. Is carbon worth it? And has anyone got the JP 10'8" .I have one on order, but have no idea what paddle.

How important are your shoes if you're a runner?..

I've always thought buy the best paddle that you can and get.. and then get what board you can afford with what money's left..

There's plenty of good paddles out there.. and many more bad ones..

As previously quoted you dont realise the difference a good paddle makes until you have tried some crap ones.

$400-$500 seems like a big jump up from $50 for a plastic one but the difference and enjoyment are well worth it.

Just be careful to buy the right type of paddle for you ie distance racing v surfing.
