Did you leave your paddle behind yesterday (Saturday 7th) on the grass next to Phonos car park (Marine Pde between Deane & Rosendo streets)?
Found late afternoon.

Yeah saw someone leave the water on Saturday morning with a shaft and no blade.

Just noticed today that my Kanaha 110 has a serial number on the blade. I wonder do other brands have this ?

Probably left behind on purpose by someone who realised you can surf without a paddle

Ah yes,
Good to see another shortboarder who can't stand SUPs slowly coming across to the dark side.

Your now one step closer to riding a SUP. You subconsiously came across to the SUP forum? Give it a go you know ya want to.
I'll lend you one of my boards but will have it and the paddle wrapped in brown paper so none of the shortie crew recognises what your paddling.
Will do wonders for your sore ankle.....

I dont think he will join us Luke. Had to smile when I read Suba's summation of Suppers in the shorty forum

"
Can't stand the bastards. Mid life crisis blokes in Hawaiian shorts and rashies thinking they're surfers.
Most of them have no board control, no concept of snaking and dropping in. With boards and things that big it becomes very dangerous. Don't care if they stay away from me, but can't stand surfing when they're around.

Granted, there are a FEW guys out there that can actually do cool things on these big boards and show respect to other waves riders....but they are rare."

SUPs have replaced boogers as my most hated water people....actually, I reserve that place for kite surfers

hahah the waves would have to real bad for me to go to that extreme
I dunno man...I'm not as opposed to them as I use to be, but just can't see myself riding one. Not while I'm still paddling strong at the moment

When that time comes just give us a PM and you can borrow a board.
You'll have all bases covered then, and be able to run into LB's ankles at will.

Hey, stop hijacking my thread. We were looking for a crestfallen paddle owner, & have ended up with a closet supper. Subasurf, there's a lot of us ex-shortboarders on sups who are just having way too much fun on their sups to get back on the shortboard, & there's a lot of shortboarders riding both, Tom Carroll comes to mind, even Kelly's been on one, so this "us & them" mentality is a non sequitur.........
Now, can we get back to finding the paddle owner (if you're a closet supper, you can pm me )

Very funny . I like that. Subasurf will be on one of those little "shortboard" sups before the end of the year, whaddaya reckon
Still haven't found that paddle owner, obviously doesn't read the forums.
Perhaps Laurie could start a Lost/Found column??

Happy ending
owner & paddle reunited

Easy to do, leave a paddle behind. Left one at Cowaramup in front of Centres last year. Returned 5 hours later to find it hanging in the shade. Thanks to whoever rescued it!!
