Headed to Treasure Island, Fiji and took these pics.
I hired a 11ft Nalu with a viewing window to see the reef - the Mrs and kids loved it.
Magic place to stay. Fijian people are so friendly and accomodating.

Kids adjustable paddle, paddle for wife, and my paddle.

The 14ft Coast Runner.

Can't paddle without my Seabreeze sunnies.

Hi Todd,

We spent our honeymoon on treasure Island about 8 years ago and loved it. We are off to Mana Island in 4 weeks for the sister-in-laws wedding.
Just wondering did you hire the sup from the island or a third party?

Thanks

Is Able the rugby playing barman still there?

Loved Treasure Island when we went a few years ago.

I arranged to hire prior to arrival. I will post the details tonight. Cost me $500 fijian ($280Aus) for 6 days. They had the Sup sent out on the South Seas Cruise Catarmaran the day before we arrived waiting our arrival. It is a must as it will really make your holiday more enjoyable as well as feeling like you earn those 12 Fiji Bitters.
Cheers Scotty

There was'nt an Able there during my stay. They are all rugby mad over there.
The barman were cool guys.
Stayed up to 2am drinking kava in the staff quarters on my last night. It's a buzz.
I can't plug the joint enough. We'll be back next year for sure.

Hi Scotty, could you please post how you arranged the hire and who you did it through. I am off to Plantation Island with the family in a few days and would love to get it sorted.
Love the pics, I can't wait

Our travel agent contacted Mana who said they have SUPs to hire for free, has anyone else been there and hired these boards from them?

I learnt from experience not to take anything your travel agent says as gospel. I told my travel agent I would be carrying a 14 ft Sup and to arrange transfers to cater for this.
Stranded outside Nadi airport waving goodbye to the Mrs & kids as they head off to Novotel was not the start I was looking for. One Fijian wanted to occy strap my Sup to the roof of a mini bus which had no roof racks - just strap it from window to window. Fortunately, I came across a driver with an 8 seater van with roof racks which I used for the remaining 4 legs of my trip.
I would email Mana direct to confirm they are definately Sup's that they have.

Hi Paul,

I did email Mana Island direct as we are going over in October. they said they had paddle boards but didn't say stand up so I am emailing again as they may be confused with goat boats. Let me know if you hear anything

Thanks

Hi all,
Did anyone (maybe Hedley) end up getting the message from Mana whether or not they have SUPs??? I was there in March 2010 and definitely no SUPs there.

Hey Mottman,

There is definately no Sup's on Mana Island. Hire them from Walu Sports prior to arrival or take your own Sup - I did both.
