Hi Ya,
My much better half, is getting a callous forming on her palm, at the base of her index finger on both hands, from paddling. Not sure if any of you have had that problem or whether it's normal. Would a female friendly paddle help, or is the grip and shaft geometry the same as other paddles?
Thanks in advance

Hi Ya,

It's not usual for girls to get blisters and callous when starting to paddle. Tends to go away once you've built up the hands.

Quickblade do a great paddle for the girls, its the Flyweight 83. This paddle is so light weight and the girls love it.

Thanks Angie.
She has gone from nothing to 5 sessions a week since Christmas, so maybe her hands are work hardening.
Had a look online at the Quickblades, will definitely check them out. Ahh, her birthday is coming up!
Cheers
