Nice. Love the nasal shot near the end - I won't ask how you did that (a magician never reveals his secrets).

Thanks DJ a very different Melbourne to the normal view. I did notice a couple of things different to your others videos. Are they your "City" paddling clothes? Very classy.
I loved the bow shots at the end they give a great perspective of cutting through the water.
Thanks again.

I had an old 'fixed' windsurfing boom that I once got off JP (Jason) from back when we had a separate boom for each sail.. Now theyre all adjustable.. I've been hanging onto it for sentamentle reasons.. Anyway.. I got the hacksaw out the other day and chopped it at each end.. Put the GoPro on one end (front end of the boom) and stood on the other end on the board.. It was a bit tricky because it kept twisting and ploping the camera into the water.. I was standing a little more forward at the end of the vid to get the water flow over the nose.. I love it when it does that.. I also love the little tubes of water that sometimes flow along the sides of the nose.

I've been thinking about making a special camera mount to capture this view that works better than a bent aloy tube..

We don't need to wear PFD's on rivers anymore..

Unless its a really, really wide river..

Hi Ron,

It was nice to meet another SUP'er on the water yesterday..

You can't be seen in my vid but you were there just out of shot through some of it.

Welcome to The Breeze..

Yet another lovely vid, congrats DJ.

The Glide looks great on the flat water, esp the bow shots!

Maybe get out a mallet and squash the old boom flat at the 'stand on' end.

Hey Ron.. I was about to delete the video files off my computer from that morning paddle and decided to make another showing our time paddling together.. I know you were happy to know that the PFD laws have changed and we don't need to wear them unless more that 400 meters from land.. and it's great that you get out on your daily morning excersize like this.. Lucky you living right in the city on the bank of the Yarra.. Hope you enjoy seeing yourself in this vid.

Hi DJ

Nice vid as always, some great angles and camera work.

I know you've been asked this before but, what editing software do you use for your GoPro?

Also is there a reason why most people choose to upload videos onto Vimeo instead of Youtube? It must be easier or better somehow?

Cheers mate.

I started using YouTube but so many time after editing it.. Getting it right.. and uploading it to YouTube and all seems fine.. then soon after the sound tracks is gone.. YouTube do this a lot and maybe they want you to buy the music from them.. or they are worried about copyright lawsuits.

Vimeo is easier to use and the quality seems better.. and they never pull your music off your vid.. I used to have a PC and could never find an editing program that was easy to use or not very expensive.. I gave up and bought an iMac.. It has iMovie on it.. and it's not only free but very easy to use.. Very easy to use any music from your iTunes.. and has a share tab that uploads straight to Vimeo.

Also.. It's best to pull the SD card from your GoPro when downloading it to your computer rather than connecting your GoPro to your computer with the USB cable.
