One of the reasons I recently bought an inflatable board was to join my mate's Paul and Tim on their white water river adventures..

Last Sunday I called past to check out their launch and landing places..

I took a few pictures with my phone.. Beautiful place..

They bottom turn slightly different..

I think the thruster is 2014 and the quad is 2015..

Awesome.
There is a guy in far north Qld that is supping all the white water rivers up that way he's got some vids on YouTube and this guy is seriously killing it, unreal skills.
I'm keen to get up home next year and give it a crack

One went out as a quad, they both came back as thrusters.

Most of the time we don't use any fins.

It was a fun afternoon on the Astro Stream! Next time shin guards are the go. Have banged up the shins a couple of times.

With little or no fins you can 360 with one sweeping stroke. It's soo much fun to traverse a rapid section then quickly spin out and head upstream and ride the suction back in towards the rocks.

I recommend a super tough or plastic blade - they get pretty beat up.

Thanks for the vid DJ
