After some feedback and Destination advice.

I have three little kids (will be 6, 4 and 2 in Sept) and wife and we are planning a 2 week SUP surfing trip for the September / October school holidays. Our plan is to camp and try to do stop overs at about 3 to 4 locations. We are after some advice on choice spots and good camping ground names for families, from those in the know.

We plan to drive down to South West Rocks and then progressively make our way back to the Sunshine Coast. Crescent Head is definitely in the plans but the rest is up for grabs.

My two oldest kids love to surf as well and need those little Kiddies sliders that some places are renowned for. So we would like to know where these are and will drop in on our trip.

Your advice will be greatly appreciated as I will probably have to book in now at some spot to guarantee a camp spot.

Any other adive for the holiday on things to do would be great to hear about also.

Good on the Rudd Money

Cheers Swanie

Scotts Head near Nambucca is a choice spot. Can get busy though. Good flowing point break and a pleasant little caravan park right on the beach. Safe swimming for kids

Point Plomer on the back road from Cresent to Port Mac.
Top spot to camp. Good waves and less crowds than most.

Moonie Beach, 12km north of Coffs Harbour. Great camping ground. Nice estuary for the kids to swim. Good waves with the right wind and swell.

Thanks Geoff and Jason
We are looking forward to this trip and as we have not surfed these locations the local knowledge is invaluable.
Keep it coming everyone.

Greatly Appreciating it all

Hat Head, just south of South West Rocks, caravan park, camping right on the beach, nice estuary for the kids to swim, small surf break great burgers at the general store.

Mullaway/Arrawarra area just north of Woolgoolga. Great choice of beaches to keep out of the wind. Plenty of caravan parks in the area although haven't stayed at them.
