You probably know the drill by now, but just in case you don't --- we'll meet at the Southern carpark at Port Beach at 1530 this Sunday the 18th, and get under way at 1600. The finish will be at Swannie SLSC carpark ( Galvo please note !!!).
If anyone is keen, and doesn't have a suitable board, contact Galvo at Standup Surf, or post here and we will see what we can scrounge up - I think Stimo has a spare 17' DC

???, and I should have a spare 12'6" Amundson. Weather forecast is looking good with 15-20 kn S/SW, but that could change a fair bit if the weather of the last week is anything to go by.

I would have liked to join you guys but will be doing the lighthouse to leighton kite race.

Just be aware, If nothing else it will be pretty busy in the carparks etc, it should be all over by the time you guys get under way but you never know, the start may be delayed if the wind is light.
There is 100 kiters due to set off from Rotto at 2:30 and most will probably take around 30-50mins to get across.

Few of the boys had nothing better to do today and had a warmup run I will call it now Rog will be in the top 10 in doctor that new star ocean runner fast but the motor was pretty good to .
See you guys tomoro breeze still bit light but good fun any way if you like working your body to justifie the beer see you there all SUP welcome it's not a closed session need some cars at swanie 3.15 to run guys back to start

Looking forward to this arvo!! Anna will be meeting us at Swannie so can do a run back for cars for another 4 bods as well. She has even promised to not go shopping and be on time

hey fellas, have a good paddle, hope it blows, i'm at work for the next 4 weeks so will see you all in the new year for the duel , i'm guessing you guys will be pretty quick in 4 weeks time, while my paddle fitness goes south.

Thanks Wezzy for the beer and drinks Good to catch up with Darren's crew doing something wright there paddling well ,thanks chickenstix for sorting the times for the downwinders good captaincy and well paddled today oldest grommet out there showed some of the young crew a few tricks and thanks Galvo and Rog for messing with our heads on those star 14race open ocean you guys had the sea anchor out for sure .

What a great way to finish a hectic week !! 12 starters, and a lot of new Sunday faces. Wezzy - definitely 'Best on Ground' , the presentation on those after race refreshments was nothing short of first class !! Thanks to Anna for doing the car run, and Mel was there too for the first time. Team player award to Jenkz for doing the Sweeping. The starters - in no particular order -
Steve Fanatic 12'6" white, Marcus ( the bearded one ) new nickname - the smokey Fanatic 12'6" Red, Greg C Hobie 12'6", Rob Fanatic 12'6" red, DM Fanatic 14' red, Galvo the early extractor Starboard 14, Froggy Goodsup Starboard 14, Wezzy BoG Starboard 14, Stimo 'the fish' ( seemed to be swimming a lot) DC 12'6", Nick Starboard 11' roundnose, Jenkz 12'6" Naish, Chickenstix Amundson 12'6" TR-X.
Thanks to all for coming along, a good hit out, with some rewarding runs to be had. All we need to do is tag another 20 k's on the end !!!
To anyone looking to get into a few downwinders, drop down ( or join in ) next time we do a run - it's a classic chance to see the sort of boards that we use, and to chat with the guys and girls about the pros and cons of different boards, fins, paddles etc.
Hope everyone has a great Chrissy next Sunday, and we'll go again on the 1st of the 1st.
