Thanks to them…I went in on the scrounge for some rail tape off cut. Offered to pay as they cut me a bit from a new roll..said no worries.

…..and now I'm going to go back and demo the Waterborn Evoke brushed carbon @7.11 @ 130.7 L. Looks the goods in the volume distribution for a small board. At $899 may be a fun short little fat boy to have in the quiver.

Will be interesting to hear your take on the Evoke. Have only ever seen one on the water once up at Caloundra. The guy seemed pretty happy with it and was catching a few waves. It was pretty dribbly @ about 1ft surf.

Interested to hear any info or experience anyone has had with the pro vex 8'0 model,
The construction sounds nice and solid, just wondering the weight? Any demos on the west coast?

I have had the 9'6 Vex Carbon for just on 4 months now and am enjoying it heaps.
Have changed out the fins from stock but other than that it is fine the way it is. Still early days but they seem very tough and the Surfboard Warehouse guys packaged it really well for delivery. The board itself is really light and I can easily lift it up and over my head one handed to load on the car. The only issue I have had is the deck grip started coming off around the handle but a bit of glue sorted that.
Sorry... Not the review section but I am really happy I added this board to the collection.
