Love the hedge on the fence line oh nice flaming stick
Yeh,the Naish in the picture has been replaced with a psh 10.6. I've lost count on how many mc's I've had (love Bobs work) Trick is keep the same colours flowing and boss wouldn't have a clue
I'm guessing you're still using SL grade EPS for your new board? What sort of life are you expecting to get out of it? You're last 8'2 looked pretty messed up
The fin box took up a thumping onto a rock at Bells and the fin stayed in. I saw a surfboard come out of the water today with a fin missing. I think you need to check out Dean's board in the flesh before making comments like that.
I only going off the pics he posted of it and the coments he made himself, pretty sure it had a crease across it from blowing down the beach? Dean had said himself that he was testing the board for weak points etc. The main thing I was wondering is whether you would expect a long life using SL grade EPS and glassing as normal?
Dean, really like your planshape,is it an photo illusion or is the majority of your boards mass forward of centre?also, what perfomance changes are you hoping for with your extra vee/increased nose and tail rocker tweak changes?

to me the outline is classic single fin. i surfed a few shortboard singles last year loved it( i started on them). even when out in some solid d bar. when i used to change back to thrusters i felt like i had a turbo booster and trim sense is sharpen up. nothing wrong with a good single fin board cheers
Why the width over 30"? My board is 2" longer but just under 29 1/2" and still super stable. Enough that I might try go a bit narrower next time around, say 29" and slightly thinner. I though you might try go a bit narrower.
Yer I am with ya, going for 29 1/2 on my next board. Did a 7'8" x 30" and floats ok but its too thick @ and the rails are too chunky so it has no drive. My second board at 8'3" still seems to work ok as a real shorty, iit has thin rails and tail.
Hi Dean Your threads are cheesing me off. Not the fact that the boards look good. Not that you are doing R&D that is causing a good stir. JUST that you live in Vic. Move to SE Qld like the rest of Vic. Great blokes up here who need neighbours like you.
I just a have a neighbour who's friggin dog just keeps barking. Would trade in a heart beat for someone making SUPs at your rate and price.
