23-24 February 2013 - QLD SUP Race State titles. Sandgate, Brisbane, QLD

Does anyone know any info about this, found the dates on this site? Pretty keen to find out some details to watch

I'm pretty sure you're referring to the SUPA 'State Titles' and in that case I think they've been moved to 16th-17th March.

If you're keen to watch the top paddlers in QLD race head to head, there'll probably be more of them at the Noosa Festival sup race on 10th March or the Australian Longboard Open (previously Malfunction) sup race at Kingscliff on 24th March, or wait until the Surfing Queensland/Surfing Australia state titles in June, which will have all the big names lining up to try to make the QLD team for Aussies as a step towards next years ISA games.

I didn't think SUPA were allowed to call them State or National Titles. I thought they had to call them something else and they were going with the title "open'.

They called them State titles in NSW. I believe in Vic it was The Vic Open,

that step seems wobbly atm, not the clear path previously touted by some. but they're still the best option for sup
