It is good SUPA want to put on events and get behind SUP. But now with the ISA world titles, Surfing Aus and the Surfing states association geared up and pushing it in a professional manner with it all alinged, it will be hard for SUPA to have any credit if they continue to play the state/national titles game. Advertising and notification seems little to non exsitant which doesnt help. IMO it would be better for them to create more of a pro comp scene here in Oz than just blindly try to be something that it isnt and at best second rate....
