There is nowhere as easy as cotton tree but on the Goldy hit Currumbin Alley - everyone else seems to, and it's by far the easiest paddle out/in anywhere on the goldy and there is most certainly safety in numbers out there
As for north - rivermouth at Noosa can be fantastic and not too gnarly if you get the tides right.
