Just a reminder that due to the inclement weather conditions on Sunday 22nd Nov and the subsequent cancellation of the RPS Flat 40 race, we have the race now re-scheduled for this Sunday, 6th Dec.

Venue - Elwood Beach

Registration - from 9am

Racing - 10am

All other details can be found on the RPS website as well as the SupVic website.

Don't forget, there's a Starboard SUP up for grabs [ for competitors that contest the 3 race series].

This race could also be just the tonic for those of you who went to the Mambo!!
I got to meet heaps of the Sup crew and really enjoyed the cameraderie on the water.

Does anybody know if tomorrow is still on? I heard there is a triatholon on in the area and it will be difficult to get access.

From what I can find on this internet thing, the triathalon is next weekend the
13/12/2009 so this should not create a problem tomorrow.

I can't make it but goodluck to everyone that heads down there!

Was a great race, field of about 20-odd and perfect conditions.

1. Lummers
2. Mark Bradkte
3. Mick Calder
4. Lobes

Was a rectangular course about 400m long. Format was to paddle for 40 minutes and furthest wins. I think Lummers may have just got on the 8th lap the rest of us were on about 7

Thanks DJ as usual for your effort as Official Photog!

Well, as you're all aware, the weather conditions on the day were near perfect.
Very light wind with just a small amount of bump to provide challenging conditions and a beautiful blue sky.

Around 20 competitors competed with jnrs and ladies also represented.
The course was rectangular [ parallelogram to be exact!] and around 600m in length.

The start of the race saw the field stay pretty tightly bunched, but with the duration being 40 mins, it didn't take long for the field to spread out. That's when Matt Lumley took control and took a clear lead, but Mark and Mick Calder definitely stayed in touch with him until the last 10 mins.

Further back through the field there were plenty of minor battles going on.
Rea was taking on the guys!! Jonathon was belting a few blokes on longer hulls, DJ was making his way steadily through the field after having stopped paddling to take photo's! Taylor was chasing his Dad and Damien was just happy to be there using his new board!
