Hey all,

Im curious to hear from the hardcore crew of racers out there. What is everyone doing for training? Im interested to see what people are doing for cross training, weight training, cardio and paddle training. I would like to start my own program, anyone have any advice...

Steve.

Like your style DTM. I am pretty much running the same program as you at the moment. But thats gonna change (its givin me a gut).I read casso's story (hardcore!!). I know I couldn't maintain a full-time job all that training as well.

Monday Night - After work 2km Swim training.

Tuesday Morning - 5:00 am Hard Paddle training til after 6ish
Tuesday Arvo - After work 8 - 10km Paddle

Wednesday Morn - 5:00 am HARD Paddle Training til after 6ish
Wednesday Arvo - GYM weights

Thursday Morn - 5:00 am HARD Paddle TRaining til after 6ish
Thursday Arvo - either Swim or 8-10km Paddle

Friday Morning - 5:00 am HARD Paddle Training til after 6ish
Friday Arvo - Enzo Session

Saturday Morn - 5:00 am 2hours non stop long distance paddling

Sunday - Off

Eat lots of good stuff, i'm LOTS! I eat a fair bit!! Protein powders and some other stuff aswell. I drink about 5 LT of water every day. Starting off my day with a skull of 1LT straight up.

In between all of that, there are downwinders or other long distance paddles.

Yes, you are all gonna tell me that it's prob too much but i hontesly think i can do even more.

With the amount of overseas racing comps i'm going to this year, all that training will be needed foresure.

No excuses is my life moto! I work 7 days a week but yes i can get out of the shop if needed but not always.

Heheheheh yeh we still find the time on a Friday night LOL but we don't drink so generally we are in bed early. Remember we have no kids so it's pretty easy.

All the training is Free, it's just part of our training schedule and anyone is allowed to come along.
