Try Moffats and Dicky Beach. There are also heaps of great beachs north of Caloundra.

Kawana is protected from strong northerly winds and Alexandra Headland is protected from southerlies.

Currimundi Lake is excellent for flat water paddling. God I miss home sometimes!

Have fun!

Heaps of spots to suit anyone mr Loz.

At Caloundra, Happy Valley and Kings Beach are often good. happy Valley is popular with SUP's. there is also the flatwater that goes for miles from Bulcock Beach past Golden Beach and on south.

Just north, Moffats is a reef/point break that can get big and crowded but worth a look.
Around the corner is Dickies Beach that often has nice banks. This is the start of the Kawana stretch this beach goes north for about 15km and has heaps of access spots. There is often ridable banks in various spots on this stretch. As Anthony says Currimundi Lake is a pleasant flatwater paddle.

I won't go into spots further north, but if you want more info send me a pm and I will fill you in.

Most of all have fun.

Thanks for info, sounds like plenty of breaks to explore! Is there a little wave that runs into bulcock beach towards the caravan park, staying at the park so would be nice and handy;)

Yes Loz, that is Happy Valley.

You could jump in at the Caravan Park and paddle out the mouth to Happy valley.
Can be good at times but generally a fun little wave.
