Nice Freudian slip (or intended pun?).

If we were the same person we'd be a good troll, considering we've got different posting styles.

Maybe we are the same person and I just don't know it?

Yeah he (they) only show(s) up when there's something to jump on. Funny little schizophrenic that Legion Dog. I'm sure it's the same person.

I only post when it's a topic of interest, but I read a whole lot more than I post on here. I'm sure doggie's the same. Not our forum. I could go crazy on here if you want, polluting all your threads if you prefer?

I don't seem to get many red thumbs lacey, even on a few of the more heated topics I've posted on on here.

Maybe this topic is so popular because it gives everyone an opportunity to vent in a good way, the forum has become so political of late that's why the thumbs have become so popular.

That does it for me. They are two totally different people, check their style.
Legion always posts longer comments with style and doggie is straight to the point with sharp wit.

Never thumbed anyone (red or green) and never look if anyone thumbs me.

That statement sounds inaccurate - that's why I red thumbed your post.

How would you know whether I thumb or not? I don't thumb and that's the end of it, as far as I am concened. You can red thumb me all day long - it does not bother me at all.

Some real classic posts in here.

The thumb topic has been discussed many times, and each time crew have come out in favour of it. There's talk often talk of bannings, filterings, blockings .. but often it comes down to how confident you are about yourself.

Facts are that there are more posters now than ever before, in fact it's 30% busier than it was this same time last year.

With growth come new people & new ideas. Sometimes existing crew can feel like a stranger in what was once a place where they knew everybody.

Like the sport we all enjoy, the SUP forums have been a breath of fresh air on the site, and continue to be.

If I could be so bold to offer advice to those easily offended:

If you're in a sour mood, don't read forums.

You're more likely to read posts the way you feel, rather than the way it was written.

My experience suggests this is the single biggest cause of misunderstandings in forums. Misinterpretation of a post by somebody in a foul mood.

Have you experienced it?

I think we should all quietly leave this thread now and close the door. Legion and Doggie obviously want some quiet time alone together.

I'm as vulnerable to thumbs as anybody!

Changes have been made to the thumbs system.

A bit of good natured commercial competitiveness was involved. From the kitesurfing forums, often some shops would red thumb everything another shop/team rider would say as a force of habit & we introduced system to reduce this.

It's now been expanded a bit to cover a few other scenario's, as the intention of the thumbs is not about commercial interests thumbing competitors.

To Infinity & Beyond!
