We are all very proud of this little event. Thanks to all involved especially the hard working SUPWA committee.

Great to see the smiles on the beach and a great community vibe. When Thomas had his stack in the surf break there were 7 people tending to him at one stage. Everyone looks out for each other as well as cheering on the beach right up until the last paddler.

Looking forward to actually doing the event next year

its always slightly nerve wracking putting these edits out there.

I'm relieved that people enjoyed the edit - i went out of my way to capture the vibe on the day.

- the downwinder was awesome and the spirit of the event was priceless

Good on Rog for having the vision to arrange to use video production to promote the event - when done right i reckon it really can turbocharge the profile.

Looking forward to seeing the size of the field next year!

Yep still have it. The Aircore (Rarecore only 2 made) is a keeper.

I just borrowed the 17 for the race. Might have been a bit of an error as the second half of the race was a nightmare on it. Fell off heaps(narrow) and caught heaps of weed. In the water over a dozen times in the last 8k. Would have been interesting to have done it on the Aircore. I will time myself next time I do the run with Marcus and see if I would have been competitive.

Totally agree .. video doesn't show it, but there were some gnarly dumpers coming through!
