Hi all,

I rode the Sanctum 11'0" (bought in by the Westcoast importer, I believe this board is the same or similar to Shane's production boards) yesterday. Thought I'd give a review.

The 11'0" Sanctum felt smaller than I thought it would, but it still had very good paddle speed. I didn't have any trouble catching waves, but stability was an issue when waiting out the back. The boards rocker is quite flat, probably why it paddle fast. Surfing was nice on the small waves we had, it didn't really carve super hard off the rail, but felt light under your feet. I wouldn't see it as an advanced surf manouvure board, but is a great package for cruizers and lighter beginners. The board is quite rocky out the back, at 11' x 28", it still has some width, but maybe a bit more volume would make it more suitable for the heavier rider. Great price!

Regards,

JB

Good review JB, definately a little unstable compared to naish 11'6. I think as far as surfing goes is more suitable for old school longboard style surfing and as you suggested not modern sup moves.
I think it is more a massive mal rather than a specific sup. Still great fun tho!
