These guys are great fun to surf with, they are all just chill and surf because they love it.
Rich isnt in todays pics as he was behind the camera, but he is eternally stoked.
They call people into waves always have something positive to say and they are very generous with their time and knowledge.
LSD ( Master Yoda Sup Design)
Revvin Kevin (The eternally stoked one, The collecter of Brownie Points Supreme)
Revvin was blown away and he should be, his surfing has taken a big step up. What he does on the Kalama is awsome, I even saw him sneak in a nice cutie today at PRK Yup we did see it. I dont know how many 300m+ rides he got today but he then backed it up with a solid session at Damos as well.
Man your awesome to surf with and the kids love using you as a buoy to circle!
Camo Hosk ( The Quiet Achiever)
Camo is always there, as good on his back hnd as he is on his fore hand and the man can seriously move ass when he needs to. He always has a positive thing to say and a huge smile.
Cammo's always got the straight face when he's riding waves but when he pulls out of a good wave there's always the HOOT and big grin!
That surf this morning was one of the best I've had for a while. Some good 7' and 8' faces coming through which made it! And a little suck rock that pitched me a couple times. Cam saw the first one that sorta knocked the wind out of me.
Late next week and into the weekend the forecast is looking like more of the same!
Heard you hooked up some off the hook rides, it certainly was pretty solid yesterday and even bigger today.
The wind was insane 25 - 40knts in the afternoon.
Where we were at Damos I only saw 2 Mal riders catch waves they couldnt get down the face.
We had to sit right under the lip and timing had to be perfect.
The badge of courage had to go the Revvin Kevin on the 11.6 Kalama, it took serious big time balls to sit in that close on a board that big and take the drop.
I dont think I could make those drops, yet he didnt miss a beat. When he gets his new board that guys is gonna be smokin. If he smiled any wider after that session his face would peel off.
..........dang, sorry I didnt make the trip! I didnt get Rich's message until Sunday as I didnt have reception on top of the hill in Abay. If you guys have plans for this week give me a shout as I am still looking for work........
I took some pics of waves in Abay, so hoping to get them posted in the a.m..

I was thinking of you while at Inverloch on the w/e - at around 4:00pm on Saturday the wind decided to drop right off and I could see the pounding big lefts hammering the inlet were missing your input. I took the less stressful option in the protected bay at Eagles Nest earlier in the day and shared some much smaller A frames with a playful seal.

I'm hanging for that left to start working again properly. Was it lining up? The high tides with massive swells we have had over winter have washed over 10m of the sand dune away. The bank will be back for summer. Where was the A frame you surfed? out the front of the caves carpark?
They were lining up one after the other in the inlet and and were very powerful, but were closing out on the main beach near the life savers. The strong off shore wind would have made them very hard work and the all the white water would have made it difficult to get back out. I surfed inside the protected bay at Eagle's nest during the ht - love that place in a strong wind and a big swell - the seal was a bonus until I started to think about what a sharks favorite meal is. The bigger waves there were chest high and can be quite sucky on the take off so are a bit tricky for me, but once on them you can ride them on a sup all the way to the middle of the beach.
There were only a handful of other surfers out on the w/e mainly around the reefs that are protected from the winds. I saw a group on some nice waves at the caves car park but, it was too exposed for a sup imo. Would love to see what it looks like around there this w/e.
