its a pearler! You just have to love technology that works!, wave count, speed, number, length, location, paddling, distance and time in water. Overlays to maps and tide info. It just goes! Great bit of kit to answer the I Wonder Questions!

Hope they last longer than my 4year old Ripcurl Rincon tide watch. Recently sent it back to Ripcurl for a new battery and was told it had signs of water leakage and would be $200 to repair. The watch has 5 year limited warranty, but water leakage is only warranted for 2 years. I thought a tide watch would handle being worn in the water. Very disappointing.
Similar issue as you. Not water related, but my watch went back for repairs 3 times under warranty, in the first year, each time with the same problem. Give them their due, they did replace the watch with a new model and another full warranty. See how this one goes!!

I agree - it is a great watch. It is a luxury of course, but it is fun to see the stats of your session. After every good wave I check to see if it was my fastest. (Not 100% convinced that it always gets the speed right - if you have a fast but short take off and the rest of the wave is not as fast then it seems to report a lower speed.) On the Web site you can add notes about the session.
Does it have counts for: Over the falls, Speared the nose on take-off, Getting smashed into a reef or sandbank or time spent getting back out the back? Cause Im sure my numbers would be pretty high on those!
