Guys,

As all I have received from interacting with this forum and speaking to other SUPers is a very friendly and welcoming attidtude and one of great support ,I thought i'd quickly share my first solo paddle on my very own gear.

This morning at 9am here in VIC i got pitch perfect rookie conditions down a St Kilda marina ( cheers DJ ).

There was no wind and the water was like glass with barely a ripple. So for one hour i had a solo session which included pleasure cruising amongst the boats, some fitness work trying a few sprints and lots of thinking about my paddling technqiue. I even came back in dry!

In all it was brilliant for all the reasons I am sure all you guys know already. All i can say is i have taken the first steps on a very long journey with my stand up paddling.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who has made it just so easy to get out from in front of the TV and out on the water once again.

cheers

Mick.

Interesting though, as i write this some 10 hours after my paddle i am starting to notice muscles in my stomach and lower back i did know i had...

Good one Mick..

I think I saw you paddling on the live St Kilda cam this morning.. It did look good.

I'll catch up with you one day down there for a paddle.
