Rory Young 18 from Mona Vale NSW, competed in the under 20 team event of the Fenn Cup on the weekend.
This event had to have one participant under 20 and Rory gamely put up his hand up to compete for the Suplove Race Team and completed his longest paddle to date, 12km. More to come we hope. Mum and Dad were very proud too.
We had a great race up and down the coast on the 12 foot holo holo against Darren and Tony Pease on their secret agent 17 footer. The Qld boys only pipped us on the final corner coming into Long Reef.
Big thanks to Dean Gardner and Yanda Yossiter from Ocean Paddler for a superb ocean racing series and to all competitors for their ocean spirit.
