With 2 cameras mounted on my board, I thought I had every contingency covered. Unfortunately after about 3 minutes of the race, I was more or less on my own as the leaders had disappeared over the horizon and I had no-one in the camera frame for about half an hour.
So sadly this video does not show the epic battle at the front of the field as Queenslanders Jamie Mitchell and Paul 'Jacko' Jackson took revenge upon the Victorians for daring to beat them the previous day at the Great Peninsula Paddle.
Nevertheless, what you do see here is a little of the winning woman, Rea Haare, the fastest 12'6" man, Chris Sal, and the leading masters (over 50) Jeff Lim. And listen out for the bit at around 4:30 when I realise I am heading for the wrong flags at the finish and my nearest competitor has jumped me on the inside.
