All the details are up on the SUP Vic website www.supvic.com

It should be a really fun event for Stand Up Paddlers of all levels. Demo boards will be available if you want to try
something new or you have a friend that is keen to give it a shot.

I don't want to speak to early, but how's the Vic forecast for this week and the long weekend, Off the hook!! Summer looks like kicking it up a gear which will help with the water temps. Hopefully we will be able to dust off the shorter wetsuits!

Phill.. I think it's too hard to say.. Give Paul at SHQ a call today and he will phone you and keep you informed because it's a four day event and the weather dictates what happens each day.. It's more of a windsurfing/kite surfing event with SUP now added for when there's no wind.. They might even get four days of just SUP'ing if there's wind.

Yep what DJ said.

At this stage Monday is looking good for waves and favourable winds. It's a long way
out but at this stage I would assume that would be comp day.

All SUP wave stuff will generally be in the mornings, around 10am to 12pm or there
abouts. But as DJ said if conditions permit they will run something. If there are 4 days
of good SUP wave conditions there will be more than one event.

I will be down at Wilsons Prom camping so hopefully if they run some event I will be
able to make the drive back to Sandy Point.

Thanks for the heads up Brendon,

With the distance involved for us we really need fixed times or to stay down that way and I have commitments on other days.

Have fun!

Yeah fully understand Phil, it would be a mission from the west coast so you would
need to know 100% day/time etc.

SHQ will try to send out dialy email updates to SUP Vic members of what the likely
activities, times and days will be so people have plenty of notice. Hopefully they can
update the breeze as well.

I think by Friday arvo SHQ should be able to pick a day to run the comp. At this stage
conditions will be variable across the 4 days so I think there will be a time that will stand
out as the best time to run it. I'll speak with SHQ to see if this is possible.

I'm going to be down that way over the w/e. I don't think there is going to be a whole lot of swell. But it's going to be still and warmish.

What perfect conditions for one of my favorite paddles - Walkerville Sth to Bear Creek on Saturday. With the overcast conditions I reckon the fish are going to be jumping onto my rod. Anyone up for a bit of a suplore of this magnificent rugged and remote coastline?

This is an old photo so the tides are incorrect

Have you done this paddle before? Sounds like it.

I'll be stuck at the prom unless the comp is on but I'm keen to do a paddle down there.
Scenery is amazing! Norman Bay to Picnic/Whiskey Bay or Norman to Oberon Bay.

I'm hoping the swell is a little bigger than forecast, I'm hoping Swellnet is on the money
as they are forecasting more swell than Bouyweather. Coastalwatch looking good as well
for Monday.

Fingers crossed!

Anywhere between Sandy Point main beach and Derby bay at the Prom will offer the most swell.
There's some random tracks at the start of the Prom that will have no-one out but a long walk with a SUP.

Swell has to be really really small before there will be no waves at Sandy Point though. I'm confident there
will be some good fun waves on offer. Perfect for the guys semi-new to the surf. We need the wind to
go our way and we should get some fun times.

Also, Saturday night is usually the spit roast, beers and party at the tennis club in Sandy Point (from memory).
