Went down to Sandy Point today to meet up with the crew from SHQ who had a good variety of boards to try including the 8'10" Naish and 9' McTav which I had a surf on and were both fun boards, thanks Paul and Stewy. Also met Windy Miller on the only Jimmy Lewis Sup in Vicco,he was catching plenty of waves early. The sail crew are hanging for tomorrow which looks promising for strong gale force west sthwest winds.

The set up before taking your board of choice over the dunes to the surf.

The sup guard dog watching over the boards.(Actually I think I woke him up)

The new Cabrinha prototype.

Word is colour scheme and construction will be different on production models.

Fin choice

Looking thin.

The paddle through the shore break had most struggling.

Looking down towards Wilsons Prom.

The onshore picked up late morning so I packed up,had been in and out trying the boards since 6.30.

Cheers Camo.

Nice Cam, the Cabrinha looks pretty good in the pix.

I just got back from Wilsons Prom after camping for 3 days.
Saturday was amazing weather, super hot, surf was real fun at Squeaky Beach (2ft).
Sunday was light onshore for most of the day (3ft to 4ft at Squeaky) so a bit lumpy but then the old glass off for the after dinner surf. Gotta love that!
Today was amazing, perfect glass for the dawny, 2ft to 3ft Tidal River, then 3ft+ Squeaky for lunch just before it went onshore and then the pack up and drive home.

Didn't get to paddle the Cabrinha DJ,I think it was their sales rep looking after it and
wasn't part of the SHQ demo.
Doing well with the trips to the Prom Brenno ,seem to get good waves every time.

Hey Camo,

The full double concave or extended v or whatever it is, would have been interesting to try. The bottom looks like the Surf Shapes in some ways so I would imagine it would paddle very quickly onto waves.

PS a little birdie tells me your now officially a DC whore lol.
