Keep in mind that when those first waves were shot most people were still riding kiteboards or whatever their last fad was.

To be dropped in on by a huge board and a bloke with a paddle was quite a novelty, I was still riding my Longboard in conditions like this back then and was trying to catch the same waves to ride behind guys on these new and crazy boards to get as close a look as possible.

Sick footage Phil. I wonder how many people understand the relevance of the song while you were riding Annie???

When you look at the real footage before I cut it I was on the wave long before the guys on the Malibu started paddling so in a nut shell the Mals were snaking me because I was out wide. Anyway it was a fun day riding Annie but bulk hard to turn her. (yes good choice in songs hay CMC )

I was so keen to go to Noosa & have a SUP session with you Dogman. I phoned the organizers hoping they'ed run the SUP comp in 1 or 2 day but unfortunatley not. can't affored a week stay at Noosa this year as I just took 3 weeks of the beach to work at the Quiksilver PRO. Dogman stay tuned for my next SUP DVD called Mad Wax a Fijian Adventure. I was in Fiji last year got it pumping on the short board but left the SUP at home this year the SUP's comming with me.

Hope you get Noosa pumping imagine getting first point 3-5ft in a comp Dogman you'll be blowing up. (yep working on a funny story line for the Fijian vid I recon it'll get some laughs )

What does your new girlfriend think about your old girlfriend?

Yep Annie was from Swansea Heads & a good sort & a real good sport so for my big SUP I thought needed some big talk & like her that board gave me a lot of fun. I put the suunnies on her to stop her from starng at me

lucky Phil, long time no see looks a bit better than the old slacksmiths up there. thomo still up that way chasing whales also big animal is back in town causing total kaos ha..ha ...has not changed one bit and garys down cooma, also made a offer on your old hot stuff surf board you were selling you wanted $500 i offered $40 and asked if it would make a good kite board... just giving you **** drop in if you ever get back this way still at redhead near 2nd creek
