Hi, i'm picking up my first board this weekend 10" Oxbow and wondering if anyone has any tips and suggestions for getting me started in SUP? Also, what paddle should i get if im on a budget?

Oxbow has a 2 piece carbon paddle that is cheaper than most of the others.
Alloy paddles are a good way to get started - $50 from www.standuppaddlesurf.com.au
a cheap carbon paddle will set you back at least $250. good ones go for around $450-$500.

Sounds good. any idea on the best way to ease into SUP? i hear its pretty intense on your first few sessions
