,Although I personally prefer the Nusa Dua beach hotel and spa where I can view the sick waves at Sri lanka from my room and the nice SUP waves out front of the hotel to the right not to mention the monitor lizards that share breakfast with you by the pond, but I wont hold that against you as it's each to their own for personal enlightenment in Bali (if that still exists)

as you are very close to Nikko which has a couple of softer sections that are SUP friendly IMHO but a few that aren't!, I have no idea why people are talking about catching boats as you ........have a sup!, there is nothing you cant paddle easily to in this area and you are directly in front of the Nusa Dua reef which picks up all available swell!
As for SUP rental I doubt anyone will be better value than Jankie but those new Smiks do look ....very smik indeed and I would see if you can get a good deal on one of those if you can. Personally I was really wanting a better rental paddle so you may want to consider taking one IMO if you can, I would suggest rent a car so you can open up a plethora of locations such as serangan for example, a Toyota Avanza is what you want as it fits Sups no problem and just download the Bali Google map before you go and you are set.
BUT, keep in mind if you are going soon its' really not the ideal season on the Nusa Dua side so you may need to hold off having too many Bintangs and get up early to catch it before the wind gets up.
