Not having surfed this area of the coast before, where does one head for a surf session. Staying at the RACV resort and looking for a break near there.
Any help, gratefully accepted!

Go towards the water, anywhere between Cape Schank and your mum's house at Hastings.

Gunna is close! There is a spot near where you are but it only breaks on a good size swell with SE winds. Also I wouldn't post where it is on here!

Yes Ali, it was a fun session you, me and Dan (DTM) had that day. The cliff hasn't got any smaller since then, either.
Enough said!

Mate RACV resort is spitting distance to Inverloch main beach, I've had plenty of reasonable and some great surf sessions there. Best has always been closer to inlet and on a couple of occasions inside the inlet, though that was on a short board with tide flowing either in or out at a rate of knots.
Once your there you can explore coast

There were some waves around on the day. Not classic conditions as there was a bit too much south in the wind for much of the time, but some reasonably clean overhead sets on offer. Hope you got a few.
