This year's SUP Vic surf weekend is just around the corner! It's on next weekend - 23 and 24 March 2013 at Inverloch. Come and join other SUP Vic members for a great social and SUP'ing weekend. This is a family-oriented weekend and we cater to all levels of surfing ability and experience, from novices and grommets up to seasoned surf veterans. We plan to run some introduction to surf classes over the weekend.

There will be lots of demo boards available for you to try out over the weekend, prizes and giveaways for participants. The traditional Saturday night barbeque will again be held at the “SUP Vic House” on the Saturday night, with food provided as part of your entry fee.

The SUP Vic HQ for the weekend will be located at 88 Surf Parade, Inverloch.
Time: Meet at 88 Surf Parade at 8:00am Saturday, for pre-event briefing.
Cost: $20 per person or $50 for a family.
BBQ on Saturday night from 7:00pm.

More details can be found here:

Yes...not mine...but given Rps, Shq, Zu and Core retailers will be there, every brand worth trying will be available, the weekend is too much fun to miss out on, be there.....

Kristi will be be running an introduction to SUP Surfing for beginners on the Saturday morning. The age group is open so the young and the young at heart can all have a go.

If your a keen racer and are want to try surfing then this would be a great opportunity for you.

Kristi will be bring down some new Fanatic Soft Boards and adjustable carbon paddles thanks to Sam Williams Jamison Park Paddle specifically for the clinic.

You need to drop us a message to book in as numbers will be on a 1st come 1st served basis!

Hope to make it down this time, besides the possible rain outlook it could be reasonable surf. Dragging the young man along might have to book him into Kristis lessons.
Pub for T Friday night anyone?

Looks like it's going to be good weather and waves!! Unfortunately after 6 months without any problems after my laminectomy, I need a cortisone injection on Friday because of some scar tissue sitting uncomfortably, and i'll be buggered if i'm going to watch all of you Ba----ds have heaps of fun again. Last year was a hoot with so many nice people and such a good vibe. At least this time it's only a couple of days and hopefully I'll be back to my very mediocre best. Take care of Matt if he goes as he has trouble making decisions without me around......not For those that haven't been before, it's not to be missed with heaps of good advice, boards to demo and good times to enjoy. Have fun you all!!!!!

Hi Michelle, I'm sure you'll get some waves, and we have Kristi there in the morning to show those new to the surf how it's done with some wave catching instruction, all looking good for a big day with SupVic tomorrow.

For all those heading down to Inverloch, you'll want to take note of the event hotline number, which will have recorded updates in case there are any plan changes. The number is:

0410 017 556

Also note, the base of operations is the SUP VIC house at 88 Surf Parade, Inverloch. The plan is to meet outside the house at 8am to establish the beach location and schedule.

Regarding demo boards, we will have an array available from RPS, NSP, The ZU, SHQ and Core Boardsports. The deal is you are free to try any of the boards from the various tents but there is a 20 minute to half hour limit on each board - share the love, don't be a board hog.

The suppliers don't necessarily have enough paddles and leg ropes to go around so they request that you bring your own.

Here are some of the boards we are expecting to see:

RPS:

Naish
Nalu 10'6.5"
Hokua 9'5"
Mana 8'10"
Javelin 12'6" LE
Nisco 12'6" One

NSP

12'6" BOP

The ZU:
