I am one of those unfortunate souls that does not live near the surf (have a solid hours drive to get there) and hence rely on the weather forecast. Problem is that when you compare the weather on seabreeze to some other sites such as wind willy and similar, the variation can be huge - sometimes 10-20 knots difference!
How can there be such variation and has anyone found a weather site that they have found to be realistically accurate??
I am so often frustrated by wildly wrong weather forecasts, especially in terms of wind strength.

our local sailing club has a weather station with online readings very handy for wind .
this is a good site for wind
www.eldersweather.com.au/local-forecast/qld/gold-coast-mc
just punch in your post code ,the first lot of stats will tell you whats going on
plus press on the 24hr history
i dont know if you can trust the wind predictions on any of them.

Straddie, get in to windsurfing or (dare I say it) kiting. Pack sup and wind gear - win-win situation! A sup with mast base box is the go.

I think we have all felt the same frustration at some point coop, sailhack has a very good suggestion if financial enough.
You could also try a local airport for current wind speed and forecast, even the little skydiving type have very accurate anamometers.
I often call one near Torquay, happy to oblige.
