Hey everyone, sorry if my post is a repeat of previous, but I'm just starting out...

I have just bought my first SUP (a starboard 11'2") and really keen to get addicted seeing as the wind is dying and the kiting season is pretty well over...
I live in the Vic Park area and would be keen to get out on the water with some fellow SUP-ers, either river or flatwater on the ocean at this stage?
I'm a 25yo female, true beginner.. (not falling off, but not paddling in a straight line yet either!)

Cheers, and hopefully i'll see some of you out there!

Hi Breezy,
the stretch between Cott main beach & Dutchies groyne always has a number of paddle-surfers cruising around, & they're all (so far!) pretty friendly & gregarious, so you shouldn't have a problem finding someone to chat/paddle with. If there're no waves, there might only be one or two out, but it's a nice stretch for flat-water paddling on the ocean, with the odd seal, ray or dolphin to keep you company.

Hey how are you Breezy.
There is a handlful of us that paddle the northern beaches and reefs all the time.
Your bound to find someone out from Trigg/Scarborough to Hillarys/Mullaloo/Ocean Reef.
I forgot her username but her real name is Theresa. She paddles often and Im sure she wouldnt mind a female SUP buddy?

Huzzas all to yourself during school hols, well done! Last time I went out at Huzzas (just to keep my 15-year-old nephew company) about 5 years ago it was less than enjoyable with people getting in the way & dropping in left right & centre. The kids you can forgive, but the worst offenders were the 40+ bracket, new to surfing!!

The worst I have seen there was an old bloke on a knee board. There was a family out with all the kids learning and this old guy was dropping in left right and center. Poor form if you ask me!!!
