Hi
My hubby and I are taking our baby boy to Fiji in June and hubby is dying to take his SUP.
Only prob is that we are flying Jetstar and they won't take his board. Any tips on getting it there? ( I have rung a few freight companies and the cost is prohibitive). Does anyone hire them out over there? We have been to Fiji Surf before but their hire gear was pretty crusty. We are staying at The Outrigger on the Coral Coast - I picked this one because it's pretty much in between Sigatoka beach break and another break. Was this a good move? Is it better to stay on an island? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated thank you

Yeah I have the same problem.. i'm facing 2 weeks in Fiji in June but mainly for kitesurfing which is GREAT, however would love to have a SUP as well.. I'd suggest the ULI inflatable as the best option. Not sure exactly how much it weighs for baggage limits but it's your best bet if there's o Sups on the island. Failing that... hubby might have to start paddling... OR just take the paddle as i'm sure there will be some sort of flotation device that would suffice.. ie old windsurf board or log.

If I were you guys I’d cut my losses & ask for your money back from Jet Star & fly Air Pacific I’ll be flying to Namotu Island straight after the Hawaiian Molokai Race July for 8 weeks with Air Pacific. I’ll be taking 6 x surfboards, 1 x 8’6’’ SUP, 1 x paddle, 2 x fishing rods, + 1 x extra suit case. With Air Pacific & its just too easy with excess baggage. I cant wait. Vinaka vakalevu
