OK nanny State announcement........ If you're crazy/gutsy enough to surf conditions like that on a big SUP with a big paddle then put your fricken stack hats on. Goat and Dogperson I'm looking at you. A surfing buddy of mine got concussion at Anglesea a few weeks ago, he's lucky, he managed to crawl onto his board and get ashore and was picked up driving his car on the wrong side of the road back to Melbourne. He had no knowledge of anything that had happened. Gash surfing helmets cost about100 bucks!..... Announcement over.

Funny thing is, I read this this morning before going out in similar conditions thinking, damn I'm gonna wear that new gath I got last week. Got to the break and of course I forgot it. Whole surf I kept thinking 'bloody logman and his prophet of doom post' - I wish I'd remembered my helmet

Goat, I didn't mean to hex you or anything. And it certainly didn't seem to upset your surfing too much! My friend that got bashed by his own board was telling me he still can't remember too much about the incident but he does remember sitting in his car after identifying the car by looking at his clothes inside He reckoned that it took him a while to get out of the carpark because he couldn't work out how to use the pedals
