It great to see the South Africans get their new SUP site up an running, called SUPHQ. I think Kingdom (also a Seabreezer) has been instrumental in putting this together - nice work.

Its a really good looking site and also has a very active forum going. Many of the same issues that we have in Oz are finding their way over there too so there is some pretty interesting reading.

They have a really good Surf Etiquette statement on thier home page so it looks like they are really trying to avoid some of the issues that are related to SUP surfing everywhere else.

Check it out www.suphq.com/

Thanks MikeMan for the compliments on SUPHQ and yes I am involved in the site. We have been trying really hard to make sure we educate our readers and general SUP'ers about Surf Etiquette and safe SUP'ing.
SUP as a sport is about a year or so behind Aus and US, so we can learn from the experience of others when the same points are raised in SA
The bug has started to bite over here and the numbers on the water are growing really fast now.

Yeah very nice site, great to the the SA guys getting into it. I spent a brilliant 10 months in Cape Town back in 84 and went back again in 93.

Hey Kingdom say gidday to Nicki Cartens from me (Christo) - I notice he shapes for Coreban. We were mates back in the old waveski (paddleski) days.

This is ironic as I first heard of SUP through a South African friend of mine!

Congrats on the new site
