Anyone with some recent experience SUPing in NT.

Looking at visiting soon, and wondered if worth taking a board up.

Or if there is somewhere to hire from there.

how do you feel about being torn apart by giant crocodiles and sharks?

Maybe Funsupply can hire a board. Not sure if they are still around or called something else. Sharks and crocs aren't as bad as everyone makes out. A beer before a swim always helps remove a bit of the fear..

My biggest concern about going in the water during the buildup or wet season is the box jelly fish...

Yep Ring fun supply - they are out on the water all the time, they have club sup events too. I live in croc country in NQ, the thought of crocs just makes you a better (faster) paddler

Search for the "SUP Darwin" group on Facebook. Eddy Fong was the president of the club. He is a top bloke. Unfortunately - or fortunately for him - he now spends most of his time in Bali.
