Hey Gizzie sorry to hear about Moko I'm sure he will be missed by many people.
I've always been amazed how little attention almost all dolphins show to people. I surf with them frequently and the only time I've had a reaction was when I came across a pod for the first time on my sup. One swam very close, tilted on its side and gave me an open eyed, unblinking, and somewhat critical stare - yep I swear I got the old dolphin stinkeye

Reminds me of an old and very bad joke. Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not sqeaking about me

It is a rare and exceptional gift when a wild and free animal takes time out of its own complex life to interact with people. For me Moko's actions were not the eqivalent of a homeless person feeding birds in the park, but more an indication of how close we are in character to other animals.
Jeez getting in a bit deep there - curse that cheap red wine
