You should consider the SIC X-14 for Flat Water and a little chop, and longer distances.
SIC Bullet 14 would be perfect for DW and some surf sliding on knee high runners.
Bullet 14 is becoming available in the cheaper Production Category, and also available as a Maui Custom.
If 12'6 suits you better for storage. You can't possibly pass up the SIC X-12('6). Production versions of these are starting to become available too.
Best of all, if you bought SIC X-12 (for example), then Lacey would love to be seen paddling with you. Instant paddle buddy!
