One of my old haunts,spent many a great bodysurfing session there.
Always had to work hard to keep your position with the rips but rewarded with some great waves. Beautiful beach on an amazing coastline.

Yes RIP indeed was a local known to clubbies who had to retrieve body only young guys so all receiving counseling .Very sad was training offshore about 200 metres for upcoming distance swim several others in his vicinity but he was chosen unfortunately once first shark attacked at least 4 others joined in . He was a 46 yr old father of one and promising film maker all west coast beaches are closed today as sign of respect for family and search continues for the beast whilst shot by policeman of rescue boat no shark had been retrieved
