Having been involved in the retail trade as a saleman for many years I saw the advent of internet selling as the end of personal service and after being very successful in the trade I was in it became frustrating when customers point blank would look you in the eye and say they were just looking for info so they could buy it on the net. Time to bail. I'm now involved in the installation of the same products
and am always amused at some of the mistakes people are making by buying on the net.
I've been Supping for a couple of years now and have been through a few boards from Roar and had a particular board that I used a lot and liked but felt I needed to go shorter as the experience level was increasing , this board ,through what I thought was normal wear and tear had a sunken deck around the busy areas, so when I took it in to see about a trade Jacko basically told me he couldnt exchange it as he felt it was a manufacturing fault, without me even suggesting it Jacko said that as I'd only had it about 6 months he might be able to get it replaced under warranty and to my surprise was able to do so as well as get a shorter one in its place. I know he could of given me the trade , sold a new board and then get my old one replaced to his advantage so I am very pleased with his honesty in times
which are tough for retailers trying to battle with the Net.
I would not think twice about going to Roar and getting any new boards in the future and still reckon that although things may be cheaper on the Net its buyer beware if you have any dramas.
