Easier and probably more effective to buy a $2 roll of Glad Wrap and put it on your paddle.

Just buy a Bunnings umbrella, seen kayakers use them, careful when you open it doesn't turn inside out lol

Getting pushed by the wind on a sup is both easy and fun you do NOT need a sail!
A wind device that would allow going against the wind on a SUP may be a good idea however, if only as a safety device for long trips.
