Phfff... Comfort model you say... was not so comfortable this morning when it flipped up on me on a sucky 3 footer and i went over the falls lying on the rail .. Bloody awesome board though.. Rode a mates Mana today and IMHO The SA carrier at the same dimensions is a far far more versatile board.. in the surf anyway..

Its funny how times change so quickly.

I was almost thrown out of SA ‘s shop, BASE at Coolly a couple of years ago for daring to ask if they would trade a Surftech tuflite Wayne Lynch 603 on a Simon SF4 Quad.

They told me they would NEVER have any Chinese popouts anywhere near there store.

Now Simon’s doing pop outs, and SUPS at that!

Don’t get me wrong happy industry icons are getting in on the act and giving some credibility to SUP.

But guess it shows you should never say never

Customs are made in Australia. You can Ring up simon and order a board to your personal specs, just like a real board. Or you can pick off the rack just like the masses dictate.

Im quite happy with my Chris Garrett. And If looking for another loaclly made board I would serious consider DMS, JS and another local shaper that Hasnt done a sup yet......

I have no problem with SA or others, infact i have recomened others to check them out and they didnt even know about them.....

regarding their pop outs, I cant see them being miles better than Magic carpet or LSD boards...

if you love them great thats all that counts...it is after all a personal thing

Or you could entice Col or MR - currently "proudly made in..." and they go well
For a punter who dont get to try every one there are plenty of good rides around.
