How good is this kid at only 14 coming in second in the battle of the paddle.
Check out this link he is 6-1 and tipped to be the next Laird.

Yeah i read that, Big call i say 14 is still so young and so much can happen in a couple of years. After looking at all the photo's from the BOP it kind of reminded me of iron man racing where if you can get a lucky wave you can get a good break and looks like if you back in the pack you got wiped out by boards. I.m sure in one of the shots or on that vid that was posted i seen Billys board wash through with about 20 other boards could be wrong. Good effort by all though, looked like a sick event.
Maybe the goldy could hold one of these comps, any one want to help put one together?

Big effort for a 14 year old , there would be a load of young talent in Aus for Sup Racing but not to many young blokes are into it as far i can see.Love that racing format though , it would be good from a spectators point of view too!

Great format , bit tough going in and out the break here , Jacko maybe you can try a small version at the Roar race in the creek or add a 100m run at the end of the paddle.
I reckon the young Slater has a big future.
