Had a bad early surf this morning, snapped my surftech tuflite board about 1/3 of the way down from the nose.
Spewing as I really like this board. Can they be successfully repaired by any repairer? Or do I need a new board.

IMO if it snapped half way or back it will still go ok after repair, but anywhere up from halfway you will feel the extra weight when turning. get it fixed, use it for a spare or to lend to mates, or to trade on new one. yes thats right if your even half serious about your supping, new stick. you could always track down the dogman and ask about warranty, but i didnt say that.

Don't be scared Dogman! I'm not looking for a warranty claim . It's a laguna bay 8'6, best SUP I've surfed. Unfortunately boards do break and if I had to replace it I would most probably buy another the same. I'm just looking for some advise and hoping I can get it fixed.

In Vicco Oke is the man Braeside. Fixed a mates starboard with a serious crease 2 foot down from the nose. Hardly noticeable after the boys were done!

first one of the tuflites I've heard break ....nice work mate!!!!!!!!!!!

if its not in your general stance area usually it will be ok if fixed properly

I've snapped a few boards around the nose area (old naish n a oxbow) they are still ok after a fix job but they are "ticking time bombs" ready to go off!!!!! but are still going strong maybe even stronger than before

jackson close did a good job of trying to blow his 8'6 into bits many times over n I've even seen what one looks like after a car ran over the nose

I've had a tuflite hit one of my customs once and the tuflite didn't even get a scratch and my board had a hole in it the size of my butt ugly head....ouch!!!!!

Vali we have two repairers in Sydney who do a pretty good job of putting broken boards back together. Swing by the Balmoral Paddlesurf showroom or PM for more info.

Yep I was surprised. I've been really happy with the construction , my paddle has hit it really hard a few times and there hasn't been a scratch or dent. It's the only board board I've had that hasn't compressed in the deck where I stand. I was really surprised at the damage
